I obtained my Master’s of Speech Language Pathology from New York Medical College in 2018. I am trilingual, fluent in English, Spanish, and Armenian. My passion lies in working with multicultural and multilingual individuals. I deeply value collaboration with families and colleagues from various disciplines. This collaboration fuels my creativity in therapeutic ideas and enriches my interventions.
My professional background encompasses a breadth of experiences across various settings and with diverse populations. Presently, I fulfill the role of a bilingual speech-language pathologist at an elementary school in Encinitas, CA. Concurrently, I engage part-time in supporting the early intervention population. Previous positions include serving adults at Metropolitan Hospital in New York City and collaborating closely with the special education team as a Behavior Intervention Specialist at a charter school in San Francisco, CA. Additionally, I actively contribute as a volunteer with Operation Smile, where I recently provided speech evaluations and therapy in Bolivia and Guatemala.
Before embarking on my journey as a Speech-Language Pathologist, I was a Spanish teacher at an elementary school in Encinitas, CA. I recognize the diversity in learning styles and leverage client-specific interests and talents to ensure the most effective therapy. My robust academic foundation, diverse cultural experiences, and innate compassion shape my unique approach to therapy. I am committed to helping individuals enhance their communication skills by fostering self-expression.
I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist working in San Diego, California. I obtained my B.S. in Psychology and Child & Family Development from San Diego State University in 2016. I then went on to obtain my Master’s of Education with an emphasis in Best-Practices (2018), while simultaneously teaching for San Diego Unified School District. I am in my fifth year of teaching kindergarten.
Preceding my venture into the realm of public education, I served as an Education Specialist within the Agriculture and Natural Resource Division of the University of California, Davis. Central to my pedagogical approach is an unwavering commitment to comprehensively understanding the academic, emotional, and social requirements of each student, thereby enabling me to tailor my instructional methodologies and interpersonal engagements accordingly. I am deeply invested in fostering children's empowerment through avenues such as literacy, autonomy, self-expression, empathy, and compassion.
